Please note: we only accept items in consignment from Dubai for now.

Thank you for considering consigning your vintage fashion items with Cocobum The Edit. We are delighted to partner with you in bringing your cherished pieces to a broader audience. Our consignment process is designed to be straightforward and rewarding for both you and our customers. Here's how to get started:

1. Send us a message on our Whatsapp +971 56 109 0990 with information about the item(s) you would like to sell:

- item type (clothing, bags, shoes, accessories,…)   
- brand name of the item(s)
- pictures of the item(s)
- (estimated) purchase value
- if known: model, year of production, and any special features or history

Our team will get back to you as soon as possible (within 24 hours).

2. Assessment and Agreement:

Upon receiving your inquiry, our team will carefully review the information and images you provide. If we believe your items are a good fit for our collection, we'll contact you to discuss the consignment terms, including the commission rate, contract duration, and other relevant details.

 3. Collection of Your Items:

We will arrange collection of your items for review. Alternatively, you are free to drop off your items in one of our pop-up stores.

4. Authentication:

Your items will be reviewed by our authentication team. This may take maximum 2 weeks.

5. Inventory and Marketing:

After authentication of your items, we will catalog and photograph them. We'll create detailed listings that showcase the uniqueness and quality of your vintage pieces. Our marketing team will work to promote your items to a wider audience of vintage fashion enthusiasts.

6. Sales and Payments:

When your consigned items sell, you will receive a percentage of the sale price, as outlined in the consignment agreement. Payments are typically made on monthly basis. We will pay out your sales of the previous month between the 10^th and the 15^th of every month. So, for example your sales from September, will be paid between October 10 and October 15. When you sell an item on September 7, you will be paid between October 10 and October 15.

We will pay you through the agreed payment method.

You will be provided with a detailed sales report with each payment, including the sale price, commission deducted, to track the progress of your consigned items.

7. Contract Duration:

Our consignment contracts typically have a predetermined duration of 6 months. After 3 months, you will have the option to lower your item(s) price. At the end of the contract, you can choose to remove unsold items, or have them returned to you. We are committed to working with you to ensure your satisfaction throughout the consignment process.

How we decide the selling price

At Cocobum The Edit, our team of experts meticulously evaluates each vintage item before listing it on our website. The sales price of vintage items is determined by various factors, including the rarity, condition, age, and historical significance of the item. We also consider the current market demand and trends for vintage fashion. Our goal is to provide a fair and competitive price that reflects the uniqueness and quality of each vintage piece. While we make every effort to ensure that our prices are accurate and competitive, please be aware that vintage items are one-of-a-kind and can vary in value based on individual characteristics. Prices are subject to change based on market fluctuations and the acquisition of new vintage items. We aim to offer a range of items that cater to a variety of budgets and tastes, ensuring that you can find a vintage treasure that suits your preferences.

What you will earn

Sell more to earn more.

At Cocobum The Edit we work with tiers. The more you sell, the more you can earn. You start in tier “blue” and will receive 75%* of your item’s sales price, if sold. If you sell an item for 3000 AED, you will receive 2.250 AED, the VAT is on us. If you have sold for more than 6.000 AED (in retail price) with us, you will move to tier “silver”, and so on.

Blue. For net sales under 6.000 AED (based on previous sales).

Items with a selling price < 100.000 AED*: you receive 75%

Silver. For net sales from 6.001 AED to 20.000 AED: +2% (based on previous sales).

Items with a selling price < 100.000 AED*: you receive 77%

Gold. For net sales from 20.001 AED to 40.000 AED: +4% (based on previous sales).

Items with a selling price < 100.000 AED*: you receive 79%

VIP. For net sales of 40.001 AED and more: +6% (based on previous sales).

Items with a selling price < 100.000 AED*: you receive 81%

*items with a selling price of 100.000 AED and above: Cocobum The Edit's fee is 8.000 AED.
